L’Oréal Professionnel Ends Pink October

In collaboration with the Lebanese Breast Cancer Foundation (LBCF), L’Oréal Professionnel invited hundreds of people from all across Lebanon to the “I Took the Cut” annual event held at ABC Achrafieh on Sunday October 30 in order to support women fighting cancer. One mission united women, children and even men; the aim was to empower cancer patients and help bring back their smile and self-confidence.

Each person donated at least 20 centimetres of their hair, cut and styled by L’Oréal’s talented stylists. Resulting in the collection of 1422 ponytails that allow the fabrication of around 400 wigs, the event was definitely a success. In fact, the four previous Miss Lebanon winners, Valerie Abou Chacra, Saly Greige, Rina Chibany and Karen Ghrawi joined the supporters of this amazing campaign and added more excitement to the atmosphere.

“We are impressed by the generosity of the donors and the enthusiasm they have shown while supporting this lovely event. This demonstration of solidarity reflects the strong emotion of so many Lebanese citizens when it comes to the fight against cancer”, commented Joy El Husseini, General Manager of the Professional Products Division at L’Oréal Levant. “The entire team of L’Oréal Professionnel is very proud of the excellent results generated by this campaign, which was possible due to the contribution of L’Oréal’s affiliated hairdressers, who generously offered their services for this noble cause”, he added.
