Creative and Image Director for Dior Make-up, Peter Philips created a natural, fresh and glowing look for Dior’s Cruise 2015-16 Collection. “The make-up is very natural as I wanted to create a contrast with Raf Simons’s collection, which plays with checks, prints and different associations,” described Philips. He went on to explain that the “luminous, naturally flattering beauty look reflects the relaxed side of the collection, embodying its cool, fluid style.” Hair stylist Guido Palau further added to the relaxed feel of the beauty look with natural free moving hair that was left down and wavy.

Philips used Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation to give a luminous glow to the skin that is both transparent and full coverage. To add a touch of color, he used Diorblush Cheek Stick in Rosewood (limited edition for Autumn 2015). He blended the creamy blush into the cheekbones and chin in order to frame the face. Diorskin Nude Cosmopolite Edition Highlighter (limited edition for Autumn 2015) provided the finishing touch for luminous complexion.

Philips chose a natural range of eye shadows from the Eye Reviver palette for the eyes. “I used the primer as a base across the eyelids, then I selected eye shadows depending on skin tone. Next, I applied the darkest shade, which is a stronger brown, just along the lash line, but not too heavily.” To finish off the eyes, he curled the lashes and applied Diorshow mascara. To tame and draw in the eyebrows he used Diorshow Brow Styler Gel and Diorshow Brow Styler.

Lips were given discreet shine with Dior Contour Universel lip liner in 001 neutral and Lip Maximizer in Sunrise 006 (limited edition for Summer 2015). Three shades of Dior Vernis nail polish were used throughout the show: natural Muguet, sunny yellow Sunkissed and tender pink Sunwashed.
