For years makeup steps included key products notably powder (or foundation), blush, eyeshadow, mascara and a lipstick. A few years ago, Kim Kardashian's makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic released a tutorial that included concealer as a major step. Suddenly women not only started wearing concealer daily but started becoming contouring experts. Here are examples of best types of concealer to guide you through:
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - This is a good choice because it is so easy to use. You can use the wand to just add a few dots under each eye and then just dab it with your ring finger. Feel like you need more coverage? Just apply more, since this product is buildable.
Cle de Peau Beaute Concealer- This award-winning concealer in a tube is a great on-the-go product. It hides imperfections, moisturizes and has a powdery flawless finish.
MAC Prolongwear Concealer- The name says it all. You can wear this in the morning and not worry about it all day long. This liquid formula comes in a pump and one single pump goes a long way. It can be applied either with a brush or with a cosmetic wedge sponge. If it looks too light don't worry it dries in seconds. The shade NW25 is great because it is a warm color that cancels out any under eye darkness that is common in Middle Eastern skin tones.
Bobbi Brown Corrector- This peachy pink toned concealer comes in a pot and is great to use before a golden toned creamy concealer. Use this first to get rid of darkness and then brighten with a shade like Custard by the previously mentioned NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer.
Guerlain Precious Light Illuminator- This brightening formula is great to use as a highlighter. It comes in the form of a pen with a brush, you just have to turn the "click" and get a drop of product. On one side you have the concealer and on the other you have a highlighter. You can even use the highlighter on different areas like your cupids bow or any other area you want to accentuate. Shade 3 is good for golden skin tones since most of Guerlain's shades are usually pretty light.
Once you start using concealer it's hard to stop. It suddenly makes you look well rested and is great with a full face of make up or just alone for a natural bare look.
