One of my favorite make up methods has always been contouring. Its new counterpart is known in the makeup world as Strobing, and it’s taking the makeup stage by storm!
Unlike contouring which focuses on the power of shadow and light, strobing summons just light, and plenty of it too.
Strobing works to enhance your features the same way contouring does, yet the idea is to give off a finish with plenty of glow.
Basic steps are as follows:
1-Start with a natural non-matte foundation as a base for the skin. Formulas with a glow such as Tinted Moisturizer Illuminating SPF 20 by Laura Mercierwork great. Its texture is light and leaves a very dewy finish.
2. If concealer is needed, also go for a shimmer formula, such as Touche Éclat by YSL, or even mix a highlighting pigment with your usual concealer.
3. Use a highlighting powder to really enhance the high plains of your face like your cheek bones, brow bones, temples, and bridge of your nose.
Depending on your skin color, choose your shades accordingly. The most popular tints are those with a luminous pearl finish.
Nothing looks younger and fresher than smooth dewy skin, and it feels great too!
