After switching gears from fabled singer to celebrated fashion designer, Victoria Beckham has made quite a name for herself in the fashion industry. Her eponymous label has come a long way since then, and is now more than ever, extremely familiar with the term “Relaxed.” So, for fall, our favorite ex-Spice Girl chose a pared down elegance as her guiding light. Think loose pantsuits and flowing midi skirts. Loose baggy trousers were paired with well-tailored coats while ankle-grazing skirts were made edgier with oversized knits. There were some statement dresses exploding with the joys of contrasting colors, slowly drifting away from the monotonic frenzy of the collection.

Beckham’s statement was very obvious: challenge your audience in every way possible, through the shapes and the colors. Well, it’s safe to say that the colorful knee-high leather boots did the trick, as they set the tone for a relaxed- albeit-sophisticated line. Our own take, you might ask? Make way for a navy-meets-burgundy shift next fall!
