Massimo Giorgetti’s eponymous line, MSGM, might as well be decoded as his will to translate his thoughts into designs. The designer, who is now also at the head of Emilio Pucci’s team, dresses the real deal, ergo the fashion maven. His collection was synonymous with fun and energetic, bringing forth a series of plissé tulle skirts and V-fringe cheerleader knits. The effect was a charming take on American iconography, showcasing Giorgetti’s wonderful hand with twists and tournures.
There were varsity stripes down denim and shell knit tops, while tracksuits were upholstered with crystal trimmings. Pussy-bows did the collection justice oh-so eloquently and the logomania was set free amidst “M” patch baseball caps and playful sweatshirts. Our favorite accoutrement? Why it must definitely be the checkerboard leather pointed booties! This year, Giorgetti got a new edit on the MSGM recipe, instilling his line with nothing but fabulousness!
