Elie Saab is a master of grand, opulent dressing, and in Paris today with a show entitled Poetry In Motion, there was an ethereal, other-worldly feel. The lily flower was a central motif to his collection, appearing embroidered in lilacs and pinks on a chiffon and guipure lace dress. Embellished details from blue crystal stone flowers, gold brocade trim and skinny metallic chain belts adorned mesh and net evening gowns. The little black dress was reworked into a light silky chiffon ruffled skirt with barely-there black lace and styled with edgier over-the-knee black leather boots. Purple took center stage in a show stopping lace gown and a purple jumpsuit with lace sleeve details. There was a lighter touch to the signature grandeur of Saab's collection making this true poetry in motion.
