How to Still Look Good with a Cold

Besides feeling extremely awful, having a cold can make us feel pretty unattractive. Unfortunately, when we are sick, we can’t ditch every obligation and we are expected to look our best even when we don’t even want to get out of bed. So, what can you do to look your best during this not so happy time? Start off with a hot shower; don’t worry, you don’t have to wash your hair. Origins Ginger Burst Savory Body Wash is a great way to “wake up.” By scrubbing head to toe you are boosting circulation which will instantly make you feel better. To go along with the ginger theme, go ahead and make yourself some ginger tea while you dry off in your robe.

Your skin takes a beating during a cold. Usually your nose area is red and peeling, and your lips are chapped. Hydration is so important, but you need something soothing that isn’t going to irritate your skin. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Deep Moisture Balm is perfect for soothing drying skin.

Let this soak in while you apply a lip scrub. MAC just released flavored lip scrubs MAC lip Scrubtious Brown Sugar is my favorite. Follow up with your favorite lip balm.

While doing your makeup, apply some concealer to your nose area to hide any redness. Chances are you will be wiping it off if you sneeze or blow your nose, so take a small concealer in your purse to touch up. Bobbi Brown Face Touch Up Stick is perfect for this.

Now onto your hair. It probably doesn’t look great, but nothing a little dry shampoo can’t fix. Raise sections of your hair and apply to the roots for instant volume and absorption of oil. You’re ready to face the music, and chances are people will ask “are you really sick? Cause you look great!”
