Bella Hadid wears her dresses and Angelina Jolie rocks the red carpet in her designs. Yes, Donatella Versace has truly racked up an elitist clientele list. The Italian designer is surely one to cater for the more opulent customers, and the result is quite the head-turner.

“Atelier Versace is a fantasy come to life. It is about power and fragility, and the inner strength when the two are combined," the designer said.

For her Fall/Winter 2017-2018 Couture collection, Donatella Versace chose to present 19 looks that headed towards splendor. There were dressed up pantsuits featuring tailored lines, beautifully juxtaposing with gold sequined trousers. White tuxedo jackets culminated into sleeves highlighted with baroque lining while majestic jumpsuits featured bronze and antique gold embellishments. The designs were all bracketed with structured shoulders and shimmery tones, silver chains and intricate embroideries.

But Atelier Versace’s red-carpet worthy gowns were forever existent, instilling the collection with the House’s signature attitude. Think metallic leather and suede dress with baroque patchwork. Think lace gown held by a 3D printed gold necklace. Think a sultry warrior shining with Atelier Versace’s legendary touch.

While fashion inspirations are usually pretty equivocal, the Italian House’s mood board was very clear: the Atelier Versace woman is alive and well and she is all in!
