Today, the Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika, who has fashionably made his way to the most elitist Hollywood events, has presented a wave of sumptuous gowns, worthy of his irreverent taste. The show started out as angelic as ever, what with the all-white dresses and the pinkish overall slowly drifting into a billowing cape. Models strutted down the runway in thigh-high gowns, playfully revealing a series of jewel-toned numbers- all of which were carefully bedazzled with oriental embroideries. And then slowly- but surely- the collection turned seductively darker, revealing velvet capes mixed with heart-shaped gowns, brocade wrap dresses and burgundy lamé gowns with statement necklaces and earrings.

There were cut-out capes beautifully paired with floor-grazing skirts, while other designs revealed dark fringes and 3D embroideries. The crystal embroidered sheer dresses could have been mistaken for a second skin, grazing the models ever so elegantly and making for a wondrous line. But perhaps the most striking design was the champagne-colored Bardot gown, glowing with the prowess of a fairytale princess. Safe to say, the collection was synonymous with gloriousness, ending with a marvelous bridal gown finale which was intricately embellished with 3D flowers.

Our verdict? The selection of gowns will definitely be pleasing the likes of Izabel Goulart and Rihanna!
