Eschewing the industry’s penchant for sporty-chic, Elie Saab may be the red-carpet’s most wanted designer! And with a portfolio of international A-listers constantly raiding his collections, the designer sure knows how to turn a woman into a modern-day fairytale princess.

Indeed, Saab’s designs for fall combined both bohemian-chic and oriental vibes, mostly apparent through the gold embroideries and sultry attires. Models strutted down the runway with golden headbands atop their heads and sported a tantalizing modern attitude- all of which were part of his magical mood-board. Taffeta, silk crêpe de chine and velvet served as a canvas for the cascading crystal embroideries and the oriental stitch-works. The Lebanese designer chose the most eye-catching colors for his Couture show theme, as colors skewed from black tones to striking blue hues and fiery reds. There were off-the-shoulder velvet gowns with evasé sleeves at times, and high-slit taffeta dresses at other times. Fur stoles elegantly covered billowing jumpsuits, while golden embroidered Abayas injected a soupcon of oriental vibes. The designer has clearly channeled his Eastern thoughts into what could only be described as a work of creative brilliance, powered through the use of embellishments, lace inserts and majestic capes tied with velvet bows.

Saab dialed up the volume for the bridal look, bringing forth a glorious champagne-colored gown covered with crystal beads and a floating cape, worthy of a true Oriental queen.
