A soft ode to lightness and grace, Van Cleef & Arpels’ new Flowerlace collection captures the spirit of nature through a couture lens. Like sunlight filtering through a golden ribbon, these creations sketch the delicate outline of a lace-like corolla, where yellow gold meets the brilliance of diamonds in a radiant celebration of floral elegance.
The collection unfolds in five exquisite pieces: a ring, a between-the-finger ring, a pair of earrings, a pendant and a versatile clip pendant. Each demonstrates the Maison’s affinity for transformable, multi-wear creations. Inspired by the fluidity of ribbons and the formal artistry of 1930s Silhouette clips, Flowerlace pays homage to Van Cleef & Arpels’ heritage of uniting high jewelry with haute couture. The Between the Finger ring is a standout: a golden bloom and a solitary diamond meet in a luminous tête-à-tête along a graceful golden stem. Diamonds – graded D to F in color and IF to VVS in clarity – are set using intricate techniques that heighten the sensual curves of the design.
Every detail reflects masterful craftsmanship. Through the ancient art of lost-wax casting, each element is sculpted, cast, and lovingly refined by hand. Gently curved petals create subtle volume, while golden beads and asymmetrically placed diamonds form radiant pistils that seem to flutter with life.
