A Rendez-Vous with Cartier – Santos de Cartier

Exploring an icon in the world of modern wristwatches…

The Santos de Cartier watch continues to evolve while staying true to its origins.

The Maison now reimagines this iconic timepiece in a refined small model that recalls the dimensions of the earliest editions.

Originally created in 1904 for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, it was the first modern wristwatch and remains a symbol of innovation and timeless design.

Its square shape and exposed screws – once a bold departure from tradition – have become defining features of the collection.

This new small model is available in all-gold, all-steel, or a mix of both, preserving the elegant lines, precise proportions and visual contrast of the larger versions.

The latest novelties include its compact 27 x 34.5 mm case, a sophisticated sunray dial, and a high-autonomy quartz movement tailored for smaller proportions.
