Dior Elevates the Olfactory World with Radical Luxury

A bold reinterpretation of an iconic scent.

As fashion embraces a season of bold silhouettes and textured elegance, Dior introduces a striking olfactory statement with the reimagined Bois d’Argent in its Esprits de Parfum collection. Created by Francis Kurkdjian, this new iteration pays tribute to one of the most iconic scents in La Collection Privée, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern sophistication.

Kurkdjian, who has already reinterpreted Gris Dior, Lucky, Rouge Trafalgar, Ambre Nuit, and Oud Ispahan, now turns his vision to Bois d’Argent. The result is an intensified, deeply luxurious scent centered on iris and frankincense, enriched by a honeyed-musky accord and amplified by notes of ambroxan, balsam, vanilla, and white honey. Described as a “poetic oxymoron,” Bois d’Argent explores the tension between wood and metal, creating a mysterious, sensual aura. The fragrance reflects Dior’s signature balance of heritage and innovation – both in composition and presentation. Encased in an elegant bottle with a black lacquer lid and refined label, it mirrors the minimalist power it holds, not just as a scent but also as an artistic statement, redefining fragrance as a form of expressive luxury in a season that’s all about mood and meaning.
