Balenciaga’s Summer 2026 collection marks the powerful debut of Pierpaolo Piccioli as Creative Director, honoring the Maison’s methodology of creation as ideology and identity. Rather than homage, Piccioli offers a recalibration of Cristobal Balenciaga’s legacy, emphasizing the human form and its relationship with fabric.

The collection explores space as a third dimension, where air between body and cloth becomes essential. Iconic Balenciaga volumes are reimagined for today’s wardrobe - leather jackets, chinos, t-shirts, knits, and accessories transformed through cut, proportion, and intention. Sculptural silhouettes emerge without internal structure, shaped solely by fabric, color, and form. Archival elements like gazar are reinvented, while floral and feather embroideries in self-fabric propose structure over decoration. Knitwear reinterprets historical materials with a modern touch.

Set in a resurrected Parisian salon scented with Getaria - Balenciaga’s fragrance - Piccioli’s vision feels both intimate and bold. This is not mere recollection, but a forward-looking statement of identity and design. Balenciaga’s heartbeat continues, with humanity at its core.
