Miuccia Prada’s Spring-Summer 2026 collection for Miu Miu places women’s work, with its effort, care, and resilience, at the center. Titled “At Work,” the collection examines the often-invisible labor of women and redefines it as something noble, visible, and worthy of respect. The show’s setting at the Palais d’Iéna transforms a workspace into a domestic abstraction, complete with Formica tables in contrasting shades. Influences also included the documentary photography of Dorothea Lange and Helga Paris, capturing the realism of labor and clothing.

The apron, as a universal symbol of work, takes on new meaning. Functional yet decorative, it shifts across contexts, from domestic to clinical to industrial, embodying both care and strength. Rather than florals or stripes, most aprons and dresses were patterned with small circular motifs that took over the collection with an unprecedented vibe. In turn, materials like industrial drill, leather, cotton poplin, silk cloqué, lace, and raw embroidered canvas ground the collection in tactile authenticity. As for the accessories in robust leathers, they emphasize utility and industrial beauty, while ruffles add a delicate yet subversive twist.
