Who’s the Winner of Chaumet’s Exclusive Tiara Project in Doha?

A jewel of heritage and vision.

Maison Chaumet and M7 announced Aisha Alattiya as the winner of their exclusive tiara project, commissioned by Alfardan Jewellery and Qatar Museums under the initiative of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. Her creation, “The Houbara Haven”, will be unveiled this October at M7 during Qatar Creates, celebrating Qatari heritage and the art of High Jewelry. The initiative began with an open call that drew over eighty regional creatives, from jewelry designers to architects and artists. Eleven were selected for a masterclass at M7 with Chaumet’s Creative Studio Director, Olga Corsini, before three finalists visited the Maison’s Place Vendôme workshop in Paris to experience the art of High Jewelry firsthand.

This project follows the 2024 “Chaumet & Nature” exhibition in Doha and invited Middle Eastern artists to reinterpret the tiara through their cultural lens while embracing Chaumet’s connection to nature. Alattiya’s winning design draws inspiration from Qatar’s desert flora, pearls, and falconry traditions. Its form echoes the resilient Awsaj plant, whose intertwined branches cradle natural Gulf pearls, honoring both Chaumet’s pearl mastery and Qatar’s historic pearl-diving legacy.

Crafted over 850 hours in Chaumet’s 12 Place Vendôme workshop, The Houbara Haven symbolizes the harmony of heritage and modern artistry as a tribute to cultural identity and the Maison’s enduring creative spirit.
