Gucci introduces The Art of Silk, a project reimagining ten archival scarves through a contemporary lens. Selected by Demna from the Florence archive, the designs preserve original motifs while reflecting the House’s evolving approach to silk.

The collection features pieces such as Your Majesty, Double Trouble, and Il Gattino, alongside two exclusive Flora designs created for the opening of LACMA’s David Geffen Galleries. Rooted in the iconic 1966 Flora motif by Vittorio Accornero, the scarves blend heritage with modern interpretation.

Crafted from fine Italian silk sourced in Calabria, the limited-edition pieces support a local initiative developed with Nido di Seta and Ongetta. The project promotes sustainable production, organic cultivation, and the revival of regional silk traditions.

Available exclusively at the LACMA Store and Gucci Beverly Hills, the scarves highlight Gucci’s dialogue with art. The launch also includes a collaboration with the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Firenze, showcasing student artworks inspired by the designs.
