Vacheron Constantin Enhances Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar

A new evolution in perpetual calendar watchmaking.

Vacheron Constantin unveiled a new version of its Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar, featuring an enhanced movement that extends the watch’s power reserve to 70 days in Standby mode and introduces a contemporary open-worked dial design.

Originally launched in 2019, the timepiece is powered by the patented Caliber 3610 QP, a dual-frequency movement developed to optimize energy management. The system allows wearers to switch between an Active mode operating at 5 Hz for everyday use and a low-energy Standby mode operating at 1.2 Hz when the watch is not being worn. Thanks to technical refinements, the movement now gains an additional five days of autonomy, reaching a total power reserve of 70 days in Standby mode. As for the perpetual calendar, it’s designed to accurately follow the Gregorian calendar until 2100 without manual adjustment, provided the movement remains powered.

Housed in a 42 mm platinum case, the watch features a sapphire open-worked dial, hand-guilloché gold details, and a hand-wound movement composed of 480 components. The design remains faithful to the Traditionnelle collection while offering a more contemporary aesthetic.
