Dior has unveiled the Dior Cigale bag as its newest icon, first introduced during the Spring/Summer 2026 show by Jonathan Anderson. Inspired by a defining moment in the House’s history, the bag reinterprets the shape and construction of La Cigale, the celebrated dress from Christian Dior’s Autumn/Winter 1952-1953 Haute Couture collection.

Described by Anderson as his “all-time favorite dress in the history of fashion,” La Cigale was recognized for its modern silhouette in grey moiré silk, featuring deep pleats that created a striking sense of structure and volume. The Dior Cigale bag reflects the same spirit through its couture-inspired construction, sculptural asymmetry and signature bow, a reference to the dress’s knotted belt.

Following its launch, the bag has become a staple for Dior ambassadors and friends of the House worldwide, including regional brand ambassadors Razane Jammal and Yasmina El Abd. It is also carried by Rihanna, Charlize Theron, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Rosalía, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, Greta Lee, Priyanka Chopra, and many more in a range of leather colors.
