Piaget Unveils the Polo Minute Repeater

A new expression of Piaget’s watchmaking mastery.

Piaget introduces the Piaget Polo Minute Repeater, revealing the inner workings of its caliber 1290P through a partially open-worked dial. Entirely conceived, developed, finished and assembled at the Maison’s La Côte-aux-Fées Manufacture, the movement comprises 430 components requiring weeks of hand finishing and assembly.

The timepiece continues Piaget’s long-standing expertise in ultra-thin chiming watches, following the world’s thinnest minute repeater introduced in 2013. It brings the complication to the Piaget Polo, the Maison’s modern sports watch, while preserving its elegance and wearability.

The gold dial combines hand guilloché with a soleillé finish, an opaline outer track and a gold fillet revealing elements of the repeater mechanism. The watch is housed in an 18-karat white gold 48mm case measuring 9.30mm thick and is water resistant to 3 ATM.

Only five numbered pieces will be crafted this year. Piaget is also introducing a High Jewelry version featuring baguette-cut blue sapphires and diamonds, with a fully open-worked dial.
