For Spring-Summer 2018, Ian Griffiths substituted Max Mara's maritime mood with a more elegant approach of all-things-camel and of course, pantsuits. As an Italian House that is pegged for its luxurious coats, the legacy just had to power through all the seasons. As such, models sashayed their way onto the runway in see-through coats, which were lavishly paired with bodycon dresses at times and structured trousers at other times. The pieces slowly drifted into a dark denim frenzy, with the models donning denim trousers, jackets and of course, coats. Griffiths took the "white-on-white" look to a whole other level, bringing forth a slew of white overalls, white skirt-meets-body ensembles and white pantsuits embellished with a dollop of fresh patterns. The show ended with model Bella Hadid strutting her good looks in a black see-through coat, letting us know once again that Max Mara will forever hold on to its title of "effortlessly chic".
