Jonathan Anderson’s latest show for Loewe was set with a white backdrop, alluding to a very serene collection. Following last season’s dramatic influence, this time around, the pieces were extremely fluid and beautifully cut-out to fall loosely on the leggy models.

The first look would have been best described as a trompe-l’oeil white dress that could have been mistaken for two layered dresses. The series of models followed suit in loose trousers and cut-out tunics at times, and peplum patterned tops with matching maxi skirts at other times. The models wore bucket hats atop their heads as their outfits were more often than not outlined with hints of leather – a Loewe signature. The pasty color palette made for the most peaceful of collections, as colors skewed from powdery pinks, to blues and beige tones. One dress in particular was that of a bohemian queen, bathing in the wonders of ruffled asymmetric hems and stirring patterns. There were sweatshirts and tees with the logo “Loewe” scattered in the center, fringes on trench-coats and a diamond-pattern stitching across dresses and trousers. For a brand that is well-known for its leather goods, today was all about the boho-chic feel injected in the collection. But who wouldn’t be sold with such creativity and boldness?
