How does one reinvent the fashion wheel? For spring/summer, the Hermès collection played with a pattern traditionally associated with winter heritage looks, and gave it a fresh summer reinvention. Tartans and checks in low key summery tones were worked into a pair of high waisted trousers accented by an Hermès leather bow in yellow, and styled with a silk blouse in a signature Hermès horse saddle print. A charcoal grey and pale yellow check was worn in a double breasted tailored suit. There was even a pale yellow and coral Hermès take on a canvas poncho. Pared-back tan and white leather sandals and skinny belts gave a sleek feel to looks. For evening, a navy trouser-skirt hybrid was worn with a waist-accentuating belt. Not forgetting its handbag heritage models carried slimline ladylike shoulder bags in black and white.
