For Spring, Ingie Chalhoub took her forte for pared-down elegance to the world of Oceanside living, bringing forth fluid fabrics and poetic movements. Forever sensational, the designer’s pieces blend fluidity with textured materials such as gold and silver pleated lamé. Alongside the ample silhouettes, the caftans and the wide-leg marine trousers split along the sides, came siren gowns with decadent sequins. The collection pegs itself as a sensory-rich experience, with its ephemeral feel and its ode to the immensity of the sea.

Even the dresses and jumpsuits are knotted at the waist, reflecting on the calmness of beach time attire. The designer put the emphasis squarely on the “ocean” theme, introducing jacquard motifs of waves, algae, coral reefs and shells – very chic and very light! There were also subtle hints of braided handmade bows embroidered with drops of crystal appearing from time to time. Ingie’s moniker oversized pearls made a wide appearance, delivering on the sophisticated front ever-so majestically.

Indeed, the collection felt like an exuberant seashore painting, filled with the joys of sensuality and finesse.
