One flick through runway images of the menswear Fall/Winter 2017-2018 shows and you’ll see that we’re utterly right; brown is the color of the season and designers have used the color to their advantage.

The auburn color jumps barriers between black and burgundy, lending itself the title of “most mellow color” in the kingdom of shades. It’s as close to black as you can get, yet not as dark as you imagine it to be. That said, it was also all over the Fall 2017 runways, from Gucci to Prada, Fendi and so on. Which brings us to the matter at hand; how to incorporate such a versatile color into your everyday wardrobe? And most importantly, how to fashionably pull off such an autumnal color?

And it seems, the degree of style correlated with the color brown is deeply rooted in the fabric used, like this season’s most common and stylish fabrics such as corduroy, wool and shearling – amongst others. And so, the tone of your selected piece doesn’t have to necessarily be dark, it can go along the line of caramel, auburn, camel and so forth.

To help you pick the best brown looks, we’ve selected a few must-have pieces that will take you through winter with sharpness and style. The Photo Gallery, right this way…
