Last September, Maria Grazia Chiuri showcased Dior’s Spring-Summer 2018 collection amongst a plethora of acclaimed fashion critics, endorsers and the biggest A-listers. Safe to say, the collection was so well-received it actually struck a chord with the fashion industry’s most powerful influencers.

The wow-factor wasn’t just in the clothes per say, it was rather emanating from the lavish and eclectic accessories that were displayed at the hands and feet of models. Indeed, digging into Dior’s archives, Chiuri brought forth an accessory-studded collection full of the joys of denim berets, sparkly cracked-mirror boots and Mary Janes, colorful visors and black-and-white checkered bags that could only mean power and avant-gardism.

The designer’s accessories were all part of Dior’s mission to appeal to the Millenials, as not only did they boast a unique savoir-faire, but they also channeled a hint of mind-altering colors, which in turn were rendered into psychedelic stripes that were mostly apparent through bag straps, big totes and bracelets. The message was loud and clear, if you’re looking for the season’s next it-beret, or even Spring’s most fabulous net-inspired boots and colorful shades, then you came to the right place. And as it turns out, we are no more immune to lavish accessories than Maria Grazia Chiuri is and now, Dior’s dreamy accoutrements are letting us know one thing: dress with conviction.
