It’s no secret that Fendi loves leather and fur – the House has always instilled its collection with fine craftsmanship and extremely sleek textures. But today, Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi reminded the fashion industry that their fortes went beyond that. And it actually went so far beyond, that the duo sent out models in patent checkered pieces – from coats, to skirts and boots – that could only be described as chic and contemporary.

While patent was clearly a thing – fashion lovers will surely rejoice – it was not the only contender to the collection, as there were oversized sweats and knits with the Fendi logo celebrating that of Fila, and trousers and blazers that would only suit the modern working girl. There were plenty of tights with the double F logo splattered all around them and of course, there were also busloads of belts highlighting the models’ waists in an ever-so demure way.

The Fendi spirit was alive and well, and it was shining with structure, elegance and of course, patent!
