At first glance the derma roller looks like a massager for your face. Once you take a closer look, you see that it has little needles. So why would you want to roll this all over your face? Simple, if your skin feels like it needs help, it will send over some collagen for repairs. Think of a peel for example, it’s almost burning your face, but then you literally have baby skin once it heals.
Like with anything you put on your face, always make sure it’s clean. Roll it the same amount of times in each direction. I like to do ten each time. I focus on problem areas like wrinkles and pores. After you’re done, follow up with a natural moisturizer. Your face will be red, but will go away pretty quickly. I wouldn’t call it painful, but a little discomfort is expected, depending on your pain tolerance.
Some things to watch out for, do not use this on any raised scars. Use alcohol to disinfect properly. Don’t use anything “strong” afterwards. Don’t overuse it, and make sure you try the correct size. Basically, the bigger the needles, the less often you should use it. The tiniest one should still only be used every other day. These days we are buying so many products online, make sure to check that the derma roller you buy has “real” needles. Happy rolling!
