There is something about fall that attracts us to warm and dark colors. However, there are a few golden rules to master when wearing dark lip colors and we will tell you all about them.

First of all, never underestimate the importance of a lip liner, as the latter helps you define your lips – especially the cupid bow – and makes your lipstick last longer when applied on the lips before it. Therefore, start off by lining your lips then color them in using the lip liner before using your lipstick. And make sure you choose the same color of lip liner as your lipstick.

Since dark lips are bold enough to pack a statement, you should make sure to keep your eye makeup subtle and neutral. Avoid strong smokey eyes or black eyeliners and opt instead for brown eyeliners and neutral eyeshadow colors.

One last thing to mention is to pay attention to the undertone of the lipstick you’re choosing. In fact, lipsticks with blue undertones make your teeth look whiter while the ones with orange undertones are perfect to show off your Hollywood smile!

Now it’s time for you to visit our Photo Gallery and take a look at our picks!
