Plaid, houndstooth, checkered fabrics… you name it. It was all there. Indeed, for Spring-Sumer 2019, Carolina Herrera brought a bit of the “seventies” theme to her already-elegant vision. The result? Pure genius.

Slip dresses combined a plaid bustier with a bold bottom with flower sketches on them, while skirt-suits blended seventies-collars with A-line skirts. There were knit dresses cinched with chain belts and puffed-sleeved blouses elegantly paired with midi skirts. It was all very unique but also very Carolina Herrera. The floral theme was ever so present, as even boots had a bit of flowers on them – because why not?

The colors were as bold as ever and the prints as lively as prints can be – think polka dots on puffy dresses and floral off-the-shoulder garments with flashy colors. The combinations of prints was priceless and the mixture of colors even more so, but if there’s one thing we’ll definitely be keeping in mind, it’s that gorgeous silk off-the-shoulder gown with thick colored stripes.
