On the very second day of Milan Fashion Week, Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Fendi made it all about Fendi’s knack for fine leather craftsmanship and the result was as astounding as ever.

The duo sent out models wearing PVC coats with leather trimmings, setting the mood for a very glamorous season. The concept was quite clear: leather, utility pockets, knife-pleated skirts and some more leather. Redefining the-woman-on-the-go’s elegance, the duo impeccably delivered cyclist shorts paired with belt bags at times and plissé skirts with short-sleeved jackets cinched at the waist at other times. There were the occasional high-waisted cargo pants, rendered even more elegant with peep-toe heels. The collection combined functionality with sophistication – two of Fendi’s most common standards. An oversized hoodie-d jacket with fur pockets made a grand appearance, as a nod to the House’s fur-mastery.
