The luxury section of the Dubai Mall has been welcoming many luxury boutique openings, including Max Mara’s new flagship store – spanning over 250 square meters on one level. And so, to celebrate the lavish store opening, Max Mara has launched an exclusive edition capsule, specifically designed for the Middle East with the face of model Halima Aden.
Indeed, supermodel Halima Aden had previously walked in four Max Mara shows and has long represented the brand’s lingo through confidence, determination, intelligence and beauty. The strong affiliation between Aden and the Italian brand has consequently resulted in a Middle East Edition collection, with the model as the face of said collection.
“We were one of the first brands to cast Halima in a runway show” said Mr. Ian Griffiths, Max Mara’s Creative Director. “She blew us away with her intelligence, charisma and courage - a unique combination of qualities that make for breathtaking beauty. She is a shining star and an outstanding role model”.
So get this, the collection includes the ever-so famous “MaxMaragram”, an original pattern inspired by the original lettering of the Max Mara logo of the 1950s. The capsule features the celebrated double-breasted coat in pure camel wool with silk MaxMaragram lining and gold personalized buttons, a gorgeous pencil skirt that can be matched with a classic pair of trousers in a stretch MaxMaragram logo satin and a sophisticated shirt in silk satin. The original lettering shines through all the items of the collection including the accessories: a silk head scarf and a rhinestone brooch.
“It’s a look that’s sharp, smart and savvy. Its camel and gold tones communicate discrete opulence and understated glamour, and the kind of power that doesn’t have to raise its voice to be heard,” continued Ian Griffiths.
The collection will be available in selected Max Mara stores in the Middle East. In the meantime, scroll through the Photo Gallery below for more eye candy.
