Yesterday, socially conscious Lebanese jewelry and accessories brand Vanina revealed its first fashion film. The collaborative project written and directed by Jessy Moussallem, choreographed by Les Filles Föllen and staring Mireia Salip & Andrea Just, has made it onto Vimeo’s staff picks, in just one day.
The film, which is fully shot in Lebanon, helps to showcase the talent and magic that springs from this region - something so often forgotten or misled due to political strife. The film celebrates friendship and the beauty of genuine moments through a captivating choreographed dance between two friends set against enchanting Lebanese scenery.
Founded in Beirut in 2007 by childhood friends Tatiana Fayad and Joanne Hayek, Vanina is a jewelry and accessories label that combines fashion with sustainability and social awareness. The designers work to promote community development through local craftsmanship and industry by sourcing and producing all pieces in Beirut. Their unconventional style has led Vanina to international recognition with retail points in major cities such as Paris, Tokyo, Dubai and New York.
