Remember Versace’s Safety Pin? You know, the one created in 1994 and modeled by none other than Linda Evangelista? Well, everyone rejoice! The iconic safety pin is back and it’s here for the long run.

But first, let’s talk about the inspiration behind the collection. The looks featured on the runway pay tribute to the House’s dear relationship with fashion photography and hence feature portraits of Donatella Versace by Richard Avedon. Now the looks; think layered pieces and vibrant fiery colors –a few of the Italian House’s most renowned codes – and silk bondage straps layered atop of vividly colored knits. The looks were so rich one wouldn’t even know where to look. A transparent tulle skirt embellished with crystal beaded chains, perfume bottles motifs and yes, you’ve guessed it, the ever-so fabulous safety pins.

The pieces were thrown together in a beautifully contrasting way, where tailored suits met utilitarian arm-bands and slip dresses met cozy knits. New prints, rich embroideries and clashing colors; could the collection be more Versace?
