To help kick off London Fashion Week on the right note, Fashion For Relief (FFR) hosted a celebrity benefit fashion show, “Fashion Against Ebola” at London’s Somerset House. Founded by supermodel Naomi Campbell in 2005, FFR is a global charity initiative for disaster relief. The charity event helped to combat the spread of the deadly Ebola Virus that has been plaguing parts of Africa by raising funds and awareness.
Celebrities and models, like Georgia May Jagger, Jourdan Dunn and Vivienne Westwood strutted down the runway in donated pieces by top fashion and jewelry houses, including Bulgari, Azzedine Alaia, Givenchy, Balmain, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana. Other donated items included a trip to Maldives and a Bulgari rose gold Catene watch that auctioned off at £29,000. All funds raised at the event went to disaster relief and awareness to fight against Ebola.
