With Arab designers rocking Paris Haute Couture Week, one wouldn’t expect less than pure fabulousness from Rabih Kayrouz, the Lebanese designer whose knack for pared-down elegance has taken him to extremes.

And so, Kayrouz unveiled its Spring-Summer 2019 Couture collection in Paris amidst a slew of show-goers – all of whom celebrated the Lebanese Maison’s 20th anniversary with the designer himself and his team. The upbeat show included a whole lot of the Maison’s casual yet incredibly chic pieces, from relaxed silhouettes with billowing sleeves to A-line maxi dresses exploding with a whirlpool of fresh patterns – such as horizontal and vertical stripes, sun motifs and so much more where that came from. It was as if the collection was set alight with the joys of light fabrics and cheerful colors, paving the way to a much-needed laid-back summer – of course, the Couture way. Slouchy blazers and comfortable trousers were all part of the designer’s lingo, preparing us for an adorable finale featuring influencer and Lebanese model Nour Arida, who sashayed her way down the runway with her beautiful daughter. After all, a good beginning always makes for a good ending!
