Gucci Debuts Its Journey in the High Jewelry World with Hortus Deliciarum

This year is certainly a special one with Gucci starting its journey in the high jewelry world. Finding inspiration in Alessandro Michele’s poetic and kaleidoscopic universe, the Italian house embodies through the Hortus Deliciarum collection the vision of its designer, using motifs that are dear to his heart and that constitute emblems for the brand itself.

The collection comprises more than 200 pieces that are mainly one-of-a-kind, revolving around three main themes: the prism of a mythical garden of Eden, Arcadia and Xanadu. While the first honors eternal love through vivid colored gemstones crossed with plume-tipped sagittate arrows, the second pays homage to the majesty of the animal kingdom with pieces that embody the strength of the Lion, the courage and passion of the Tiger and the wisdom and renewal of Ouroboros serpents. In the third theme, Gucci redefines solitaires with maximalist designs, using intense and joyous gemstones chosen not only for their beauty, but also for their spiritual properties – representing the birthstone calendar of the lunar year.

Join us below to take a look at some of these exquisitely bejeweled beauties.
