Feel like going out makeup free and showing off your skin? A solid skincare routine is really important along with consistency. Here are some common mistakes you could be making without realizing you are harming your skin.
1- Using makeup wipes to remove your makeup: unless you are extremely desperate and it’s either a wipe or sleeping with makeup on, don’t rely on these to remove makeup. Not only do they dry out your skin but they are full of harsh chemicals.
2- Ripping your fake lashes off: when taking off fake lashes the best way to do so is to use something to break down the glue so the lashes slide off like an oil-based eye make-up remover.
3- Sleeping with make-up on is a big no-no: instead try doing your skincare routine an hour before sleep so you aren’t tired, and so your skin soaks up the products and not your pillow.
4- Cleanse too much or don’t cleanse enough: your routine should be consistent, but also remember, if you are wearing total glam or zero makeup, there is a huge difference. When wearing lots of makeup, chances are you need to double cleanse, but when wearing barely any, a light cleanser is enough.
