Ramadan is well underway and all we hope and pray for this month, is that wonderful times and happy days return to our lives. That said, nature is not stopping and the hot weather is taking over. So even in times of insanity, let’s try to focus on one task at a time. Today, we will talk about our skin during this Ramadan in our new reality, so here are a few tips that will take you through this Holy month with a better-than-ever complexion!

- Hydration is the secret to keeping your skin healthy and radiant. So, make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water between Iftar and Suhoor. If you’re not a big fan of plain water, you can get creative and infuse yours with fruits and veggies to give it a kick.

- If your skin is dehydrated due to fasting, avoid over-washing it. Instead, refresh it from time to time with a face mist that you store in the fridge and you’ll notice how this will rid you of any puffiness.

- If you’re going to sit in the sun in your backyard, never ever forget to wear sunscreen! As important as this step is essential on normal days, fasting dehydrates your skin and makes it prone to sun damage more than ever. Therefore, it’s essential to keep it protected.

- While you’re at home, treat your face to masks that enhance its radiance. In fact, regular exfoliation and one or two masks per week should be enough to clear clogged pores and give your skin the care it needs to look refreshed.

- Finally, there is food and then there is superfood. In this case, superfoods would be the ones that make your skin glow such as berries, almonds, dark chocolate and pomegranates. Take your pick after breaking your fast with a healthy meal, and stay on top of your beauty game!
