Looking for some place to shop for jewelry as you globe trot your way around? In our new series, we bring you jewelry stores that stock up cult designs and stylish brands.

Let’s explore some glitzy jewelry at the mecca of shopping in the Middle East – Dubai.

Dubai’s haute stopover for jewelry is undoubtedly the sparkling concept store S*uce Rocks located in the Galleria Mall. Launched in 2014, by co-founders Zayan Ghandour, Fatima Ghobash and Dina Valrani, this novel multi-brand boutique specialises in curated edgy, timeless and contemporary fine jewelry by both regional and international designers.

Inspired by the preciousness of jewelry, the store spices up its design with a modern, edgy environment. The inspiring space features jewels ensconced within small, glass birdhouses in a large nest-like structure with gold hued nest motif bird feeder chandeliers and sparkling crystals, birds creating an enchanting forest.

Whether it’s fashion or jewelry, the founders believe, there aren’t any rules. “We buy what inspires us, what excites us. So, we look for special pieces that are out of this world – pieces that demonstrate exquisite craftsmanship by designers who are celebrated worldwide for their innovative and signature designs,” says Zayan.
These days, there are many more emerging designers taking center-stage on the global jewelry scene, observes Zayan. “AS29 and Ileana Makri are among the many whose signature designs are very personal and instantly identifiable.” Each season, S*uce Rocks adds more designers to its glittering roster. The store currently showcases the works of around 50 jewelers.
