Very few labels have managed to fuse classic elegance with modern panache the way Ferragamo has ever since Massimiliano Giornetti jumped on board five years ago as creative director.

Classic cuts were inked with modern patterns and worn with open-toed fur heels this season. Sophisticated capes were orange-streaked while sailor jackets had red buttons.

Giornetti toyed with bi–colored pleated skirts and accordion ponchos. He proved that explosive retro printed fur coats and dresses could look graceful, as it all depends on the design and style –two things this man excels in.
