This year marks the 50th anniversary of Lacoste’s polo short. To celebrate this milestone, the label’s artistic director, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, ingeniously envisioned a couture polo shirt collection – in partnership with renowned Parisian couture embroider Lesage.

Together, they have combined their savoir-fair and have crafted 8 modern couture pieces inspired by street art, video games and Art Deco.

The line –which includes faux oversized polo shirts and mini-dresses embellished with designs of the 20th century– was on display throughout Couture Week in an exhibition conceived by Alexandre de Betak at the Palais de Tokyo. Eight photographs from the series The Players by Alasdair McLellan were also showcased as part of the exhibition and starred Karidja Touré, DJ Clara 3000, Emmanuelle Seigner, Laetitia Casta, Audrey Marnay, Cora Emmanuel, Constance Jablonski and Marie-Agnès Gillot.
