For the Fall-Winter 2023/24 Ready-to-Wear collection, the House of Georges Hobeika was inspired by a concept that is as visually arresting as it is socially relevant and related to the world of vampires. Celebrating the division between night and day and more particularly the dramatic creatures of the dusk, the House had many messages to convey along the importance of mental health and of those who work at night to ensure our safety: the dichotomy between the accepted and the unaccepted, a fear of the unknown, and a contrasting desire to belong are all part of this richly dramatic creative moment.

A flawlessly combined color palette came to complete the looks in the most amazing way, as two dégradé color schemes play with the changing shades of sunrise and sunset, with a warmer palette of reds, oranges and greens representing the early morning, and more dramatic purples, blues, and blacks for a crepuscular feel. Then came denim with its first omnipresence for the House, the trademark Hobeika orchid as a key motif, the tattoo illusion effects with the shapes of the moon and stars, the rich embroidery which is part of the house’s DNA, the sparkles of interlinked chain necklaces and belts, with glittering vampire fangs featured as earrings, and a lot more attentively executed details all beautifully referring to the main theme.

In short, even though the collection explores the rich vocabulary of the vampire world, it also marks a shift away from the usual upbeat references all while remaining true to the arresting intensity of the Maison’s style.

Perfectly captured through the lens of the talented Patrick Sawaya, check out the amazing collection in our Photo Gallery with all its edgy details bringing their sense of spectacle to nearly a hundred looks – including men’s silhouettes.
