French label Louis Vuitton – which was founded in 1854 – has chosen none other than Canadian actor and director Xavier Dolan as its new male face to represent the Louis Vuitton man.

Dolan, who has often been referred to as “Quebec cinema’s boy wonder”, has achieved quite a few accomplishments over the years. His fifth feature film, Mommy won the Jury Prize at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. At only 26 years old, he was selected to be on the 2015 Cannes Film Festival jury, which was presided under the Cohen brothers, leading him to become the youngest member ever.

Just like the Louis Vuitton man, he is confident, stylish and audacious –all the while remaining mysteriously seductive.

“I’ve fondly dreamed of becoming the face of an important brand since I was a child, in the same way that others dream of becoming an astronaut”, expressed Dolan. “This is a true privilege for which I am eternally grateful”.

The black and white campaign, which was shot by Alasdair McLellan, sees Dolan comfortably sitting on a chair next to two masculine leather bags: the Keepall and the Porte-Documents Voyages – which will most definitely be a hit among the fashion crowd.
