They say that art has the capability to transport you into another world – and in Dolce & Gabbana’s case, their latest masterpiece gave us the urge to travel. For their summer line, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana celebrated their homeland, Italy. If you are currently browsing through their designs as you read this, chances are that you’ll be dreaming of riding a scooter in Rome, or eating seafood spaghetti in Capri. And what's the best modern travel companion  –especially when it comes to one of the most photogenic places in the world? Selfies.

Before the Dolce Vita show began, a screen announced that models would be taking selfies with spectators. As they walked down the runway, wearing colorful silk bandanas in their hair, bulky golden sunglasses and shopping bags, the beautiful creatures stopped to snap pictures with front rowers. Now that’s marketing genius – but then again, Dolce & Gabbana are simply brilliant.

For that picture-perfect look, the fashion duo stitched “Italia is Love” and gondolas on golden dresses and embroidered “Rome” and the Pantheon on black and white polka dotted jumpsuits. Adding a bit of sunshine to the line, giant pineapples inked tweed ensembles and flowers were worn in models’ hair. Daisies covered black embroidered dresses and picnic baskets were worn as hand bangs. Every side, region and aspect of Italy was illustrated and represented. From Catholic prints on red velvet gowns to white and navy stripes on Amalfi coast worthy beach dresses – everything about this line was fabulously complete. Now that's a true #InstaFashion collection. #StraightOuttaTheRunway
