Balmain has acquired quite a distinctive following over the years. The label is feminine, but it isn’t girly. It is elegant, while remaining “cool” – and hip. It doesn’t follow trends, it creates its own. It isn't for just any woman, it's for goddesses.

This season, the ever so talented Olivier Rousteing continued doing what he does best: create exquisite garbs, which will be worn by the most high profile of celebs, including – of course – long time devote Kim Kardashian.

From his choice of models (Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio, Joan Smalls and Jourdan Dunn) to his choice of fabrics and cuts, Rousteing only goes for the best.

This season, he based most of his line on suede, a fabric not many would dare to wear during the summer. Chocolate and camel led the show. Skin-tight jumpsuits, ruffled maxi skirts and fishnet body cons were all paired with stringy heels. Stones and mirror mosaics embellished Cleopatra-esque gowns and sheer paneled cat suits came in nude tones, something I believe Mrs. Kardashian West might appreciate. Long stunning white fishnet gowns paired with golden neck cuffs closed the show – there might be plenty of fish in the sea, but Rousteing is a very rare breed and his latest collection is quite the catch.
