The second edition of the Salon des Grandes Complications (SDGC) 2015 opens its doors on November 16, at the Dubai International Financial District (DIFC). The 4-day exhibition will bring together international horologists, watch connoisseurs and collectors under one roof.

An event of international reach, the SDGC celebrates horological marvels with an impressive line-up of 13 brands that have pushed the envelope with their creativity and innovation.

At this annual event, the world’s most prestigious brands like A. Lange & Söhne, Arnold & Son, Bulgari, Cartier, Chopard, Girard-Perregaux, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Kerbedanz, Panerai, Roger Dubuis, Vacheron Constantin, Vianney Halter and Voutilainen, will showcase their new collections, arresting novelties and watch making expertise.

If you’ve been wondering what goes on behind the dial, make sure you watch the live demonstrations by the master watchmakers. Glean more knowledge into the mechanism and craftsmanship of the timepieces, get technical and learn how the masters think outside of the box.

Another highlight of this year’s exhibition, endorsed by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH, is the show – ‘Think Time Think Swiss Excellence’.

Antonio Calce, CEO of Girard-Perregaux, says: “We are glad to highlight our collections in a watch collector’s and enthusiast’s universe to bring them into the world of Girard-Perregaux’s heritage, craftsmanship and savoir-faire.”

Cartier will offer a peek into its world of exceptional watchmaking by showcasing its latest daring and audacious collections. Laurent Gaborit, Regional Managing Director of Cartier Middle East, India and Africa, says: “The creations that will be showcased in this unique exhibition demonstrate an exceptional pioneering spirit that has guided the Maison’s watchmaking innovation and creativity through decades.”

Supported by Audi Corporate and AXA Art Insurance, the Salon des Grandes Complications will end this year’s event with the ‘Middle East Watch of the Year Awards’ on November 19. This award – initiated by the Arabian Watches & Jewellery Magazine – now into its 11th successful year, recognises brands and praises their contributions to the industry.

The show is on from November 16 to November 19 and runs daily from 12 pm to 9pm.
