Modern-Day Cleopatra Comes Alive in Paco Rabanne’s Olympéa Fragrance

Always synonymous with boldness and originality, Paco Rabanne’s style stands out. Since 1969, Paco Rabanne’s edgy and innovative fragrances have taken part of every man and woman’s perfume collection. After Black XS, Lady Million and Invictus, 2015 is time to for the brand to imagine a new story for women and write a new chapter in its history.

The bottle was created by Marc Ange, a designer from Rome. A fusion between real and imaginary, it reflects a strong symbolism and comes in a perfectly rounded shape similar to the sacred talismans.

“Symmetry and geometry are there to express pride, but the proportions and the curves bring softness and femininity,” explains Marc Ange.

Olympéa is a mix between the sensuality of a salty vanilla accord and fresh floral notes. The green mandarin scent is boosted by touches of ginger, lily, hydroponic jasmine, sandalwood and ambergris. To enhance the Eau de Parfum, Paco Rabanne created Olympéa Extrait de Parfum, which is a mix of Sambac Jasmine and Bourbon vanilla extract.

This new perfume lends its feel to Brazilian model Luma, who’s perfectly in line with the brand’s values. The ad film captures her magnetic eyes from beginning to end. Directed by Alexandre Courtès, the ad is his fourth for Paco Rabanne. In an antique-contemporary setting, the Brazilian beauty takes the viewer on a victorious journey.

“We wanted to express that almost divine notion of power but without using force. Femininity has other strengths and other weapons. What is expressed through muscles in men passes through the eyes here,” said Courtès.
