Founded in 1935 by French businessman Armand Petitjean, Maison Lancôme celebrates its 80th anniversary this year. When its founder developed Absolue 50 years ago, he aimed at capturing authentic and serene beauty in one skincare product à la française. To celebrate this occasion, Lancôme invited a selective group of women to discover the brand’s most premium skincare line, Absolue L'Extrait and its latest innovation Absolue L’Extrait Ultime Essence, through an Ultimate Regenerating Treatment. Azyaamode had its share of the experience and is giving you an insight into this world.

Taking place at the exquisite Presidential Suite of the Ritz Carlton Jumeirah Beach Residence, each woman dived into the colorful history of Absolue L’Extrait during a private conversation with Claire Paprocki, Lancôme Middle East Skincare Manager.

The second Chapter of Absolue L’Extrait started in 1973, when Georges Delbard created the one-of-a-kind Lancôme® Rose. Chosen for its beauty and resilient qualities, it has become legendary. The rose is born from the hybridization of beautiful species and processes of meticulous pollination. Empowered by life-renewing characteristics, this flower reactivates the visible signs of youth. Today, Lancôme turns to the first Nutrix jars, which were created by Armand Petitjean in 1936 and became a cult product. For Absolue L’Extrait, the house reinterprets the black smoked glass container topped with gold with a modern feel.

After the historical recount, the guests were offered a quick consultation with Lancôme Skincare Expert, Fayrouz Najdi before the Ultimate Regenerating Treatment.

Inspired by the Institut Lancôme present at 29 Faubourg Saint-Honoré for 80 years, this iconic treatment is enhanced with extensive expertise in application rituals. Through massage, it reactivates the skin microcirculation, diminishes facial tension and tones the complexion, leaving it radiant and revitalized.

The treatment began with the Absolue Installation Ritual, a unique regenerating shoulder gesture to instantly relax. The cleansing ritual used cleansing device Clarisonic Mia 2 for an effective impurities removal and an additional absorption of the Absolue L’Extrait line. The application of the Absolue L’Extrait cream-elixir was provided with specially designed massage petals to release powerful regenerative waves directly into the skin.

To awaken the skin, alternation of the warmth and coolness of the massage petal is at the heart of this procedure. While the warm petal reactivates the skin’s microcirculation, decreases the facial tensions and relaxes the expression, the cold one tones the skin and makes it radiant with vitality.

For the eyes, Absolue L’Extrait Eye cream was applied using Natural warm rose scented gloves. It melts into the skin and penetrates every layer of the eye contour to give them a look full of energy.  A personalized masque was used to suit the skin type while cool rose infused towels cleaned and tightened pores for ultimate radiance. Finally, the skin was pampered with the application of Absolue L’Extrait Elixir for its unique regenerating properties.

Each guest was then invited to choose Rose inspired refreshments, which included Lancôme Black or White tea made in partnership with renowned French Tea House- Mariage Freres, or the Ritz Carlton Signature Pink Mocktail made of rose and coconut water infused with lime and house crafted strawberry syrup with crushed ice.

To end the #AbsolueRelaxation experience, we were all invited to undergo a makeover by Regional Makeup Artist Dania Bawab using the latest Lancôme lipsticks, L’Absolu Rouge Definition Matte Lipstick.
